| Ay (Eje), Western Valley | EGP 200 | EGP 100 | Separate add-on product |

What your visit costs: examples
Sums of the prices above, per person.
| Plan | Adults | Students |
|---|---|---|
| Base ticket only | EGP 750 | EGP 375 |
| Base ticket and Tutankhamun (KV62) | EGP 1,450 | EGP 725 |
| Base ticket, KV62 and KV9 | EGP 1,670 | EGP 835 |
| Base ticket, KV62, KV9 and Seti I (KV17) | EGP 3,670 | EGP 2,835 |
For most visitors, the base ticket plus Tutankhamun is the sensible first choice: it comes to EGP 1,450 and gives you the best-known tomb and two other tombs of your choice. Add KV9 if you like painted ceilings. Seti I costs more than the base ticket and Tutankhamun together, so add it only if the decorated walls matter to you. See the best tombs for help choosing.
Which tombs your base ticket covers
You choose 3 regular tombs from the ones open on the day. Which tombs are open changes, so check on the spot which tombs are open.
KV34, the tomb of Thutmosis III, is not a safe choice for the base ticket. The tomb of Tutankhamun is small and its wall paintings are only in the burial chamber, so decide whether it is worth the extra ticket on the tomb of Tutankhamun page.

Children, students and free entry
- Children under 6: free.
- Children from 6 to 12: check the current rate at the ticket office before you go.
- Students: up to age 24, with a valid student ID. The student price applies to the base ticket and to the extra tickets in the table, except Seti I.
Bring the proof with you. A student discount without an ID should not be expected.
How to buy and pay
Online with a visit date, or on site.
Choose a visit date
Tickets are sold for a date, and the extra tombs are added as separate products. You can buy online for your date, and the add-ons show up as separate items.
Pay by card
Card payment is the norm at the monuments. Cash payment may not be accepted, so bring a card that works abroad.
The tram costs extra
An electric tram runs from the visitor center to the tombs in about 3 minutes. It costs about EGP 20 per person for the return trip and is not part of the ticket.
Getting there โPhotos
Private photos with a phone are free. Flash is not allowed inside. Professional lighting needs a permit. Follow the signs at the extra tombs.
